This year, she represents the Fighting Irish in a unique way, and it is in a sport that you might not expect.
David Crockett football team regroups with young talent
In 2023, the David Crockett football team had a challenging season. The Pioneers missed the playoffs for the first time since 2014, having won only three games last season. However, the team looks very different this season. Head coach Hayden Chandley anticipates that several sophomores will have significant playing time. The team has been busy during this acclimation period, installing new schemes. Coach Chandley expects his team to hit the ground running when they put on full pads next week.

CHURCH HILL — For the first time in more than a decade, Volunteer’s Jackie Strickler will be back on the sidelines for football season. The veteran softball coach has stepped in as an assistant on interim head coach Mike Castle’s football staff for the 2024 season. GREENEVILLE, Tenn. — The 2024 Tusculum University Sports Hall of Fame class has been announced and four new members will be inducted later this fall. This year’s honorees will be inducted during Sports Hall of Fame Weekend festivities on Saturday, October 26th.
