One dead, another seriously injured in Union Co. Crash

KELLY TOWNSHIP, UNION COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— Pennsylvania State Police say a man is dead and another is seriously injured after an out-of-control car crashed into their parked vehicle.

On Tuesday just before 4:30 p.m., state police said they were called to a deadly crash in the driveway of a business in the 1500 block of Colonel John Kelly Road, Kelly Township.

According to investigators, a man was driving west on Colonel John Kelly Road when he lost control of his vehicle and went off the road toward the business’s driveway. Troopers said the out-of-control crashed into a vehicle with two people inside that was parked in the driveway.

By the time first responders arrived on the scene, they said the passenger of the parked vehicle, identified as 36-year-old Chad Terry, of Lewisburg, was dead on arrival.

The release states the man in the driver’s seat of the parked vehicle was transported to the hospital with suspected serious injuries.

Both occupants of the moving vehicle were uninjured according to state police.

Troopers say they are investigating the crash and if charges should be filed.
