Extreme Rainfall Bands Bring Quick Localized Flooding to Parts of Dayton and Bellefontaine Ohio Early Wednesday While Nearby Communities See Little Rain
WESTERN OHIO — Radar early Wednesday morning showed extreme rainfall totals concentrated in two narrow bands across western Ohio, with the heaviest activity centered near Bellefontaine and stretching from Richmond through Dayton. Some flooding has already occurred in these circled areas, as recent weeks of heavy rainfall left the ground especially prone to quick flooding once the storms moved through. Communities outside these narrow bands, meanwhile, likely saw little to no rain at all.
