Exeter approves new management for Reading Country Club
EXETER TWP., Pa. – A new but perhaps brief chapter in the Reading Country Club saga has begun. Tuesday night, the Exeter Township Board of Supervisors voted 4-1 to approve an independent contractor agreement between Daniel Hoch and the township for the management of the Reading Country Club clubhouse and Snack Shack. The agreement will run through Dec. 31, 2024, and can be extended on a month-to-month basis when approved by a township representative. Hoch will be paid $50 per hour.
Power Outage Closes Elementary School In Allentown
Jackson Early Childhood Center is also closed for the day, administrators said. No other Allentown schools are affected by the outage. According to the PPL outage map, the issue was caused by a tripped breaker or blown fuse. Crews have been dispatched to make repairs and PPL said they hope to restore power by 3:30 p.m.
