Theft prevention: Wheel locks to be given to owners of Hyundai, Kia vehicles
ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The Lehigh County District Attorney's Office is hoping to prevent the theft of certain vehicles by offering some driver's free lock devices. DA Gavin P. Holihan and the Pennsylvania Auto Theft Prevention Authority announced the upcoming event that will provide driver's of Hyundai and Kia vehicles the free steering wheel lock device.
Cement Worker of the Month: Joseph Liskanich, Keystone Cement
Mr. Joseph Liskanich was raised in Northampton, graduating from Northampton High School in 1976. In high school he especially enjoyed science classes. Joe was a wrestler in the 126-pound class and won fourth place in district wrestling. In football, he played cornerback and was part of the Konkrete Kids 1975 Lehigh Valley League Championship team. The Thanksgiving Day game with Catasauqua was always a highlight of the football season. His football coaches were Lou Wolf and Charlie Wogenrich.
Injuries reported in Whitehall crash
WHITEHALL, Pa. - Communication officials say injuries were reported following an accident in Whitehall on Monday morning. The crash happened shortly before 5:30 a.m. in the 5700 block of Coplay Road. Emergency dispatch tells 69 News police are investigating.

PennDOT holds job fair at Lehigh County office
ALLENTOWN, Pa. -- PennDOT is holding a job fair at its Lehigh County office in Allentown. It runs Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at 1712 Lehigh Street. The event includes onsite interviews with job offers. PennDOT is looking for mechanics, CDL operators, highway maintenance workers and summer employees.
Bethlehem man bilks stores out of $20K+ in gambling voucher scam, authorities say
A Bethlehem man is accused of running an illegal gambling voucher scam, bilking various stores across eastern Pennsylvania out of over $20,000, authorities said. Anthony M. Diehl, 31, is charged with felony corrupt organizations; felony forgery; three felony theft counts; and felony unlawful duplication, as well as related offenses. Court records did not indicate any attorney information for Diehl. A voicemail left at a phone number listed for Diehl was not immediately returned Monday afternoon.
Weather alert issued for dense fog in Carbon and Monroe counties until Sunday morning
A report was issued from the National Weather Service on Sunday at 3:51 a.m. for dense fog until 8 a.m. for Carbon and Monroe counties. "Areas of patchy dense fog will reduce visibility as low as a quarter of a mile, resulting in hazardous driving conditions along the I-80 corridor in Carbon and Monroe County. Motorists should be prepared for changing conditions and take it slow in areas of dense fog," states the weather service.
