America’s First Presidential Library Was Built In Ohio More Than A Century Ago
Long before presidential libraries became a standard part of American history, one Ohio town quietly made history on its own. Tucked away in Fremont, Ohio, the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Library and Museums stands as the very first of its kind in the entire country. Built more than a century ago, this remarkable place honors the 19th President of the United States and gives visitors a rare, up-close look at what life was like during his era.

To the editor: Vote NO on Issue 25 for a stronger Oregon
I’m a journeyman electrician with IBEW Local 8. More importantly, I’m a husband, a father, and someone who has chosen to build a life in Oregon. Like many families, my wife and I think about what this community will look like for our children in five, 10, and 20 years. We want good schools, safe neighborhoods, well-maintained parks, and opportunities that will keep the next generation here rather than forcing them to look elsewhere. That’s why I support thoughtful economic development in our community. Throughout my career, I’ve seen what happens when good-paying jobs come to a region. Workers earn a living, local businesses benefit, and tax revenue helps support the services we all rely on. Those investments don’t just help the people building the projects. They help everyone who calls the community home. I saw that firsthand growing up. As a graduate of Oak Harbor High School, I watched how a strong local tax base supported quality schools and opportunities for students. Those experiences shaped my belief that communities should embrace responsible growth that strengthens public services without putting more of the burden on local families. I want my child — and every child in Oregon — to have

MONCLOVA TOWNSHIP – In his 28 years as a road maintenance worker, Todd Osborn has seen Monclova Township from a different perspective than its residents – from high up in a plow truck during snow storms, down in Van Fleet Ditch while installing a bridge to the Keener Park sledding hill, and all points in between.

Mayor of Rossford says Paul Dobson has demonstrated concern for truth, compassion for victims
I write to provide my strong endorsement for Paul Dobson’s candidacy for Wood County Court of Common Pleas judge. I know Paul well and know that he will bring valuable experience, knowledge, and the right judicial temperament to the bench. His 18 years as the Wood County prosecutor particularly qualifies and has prepared him for this position.

PERRYSBURG — Since his first successful U.S. Senate bid in 2006, organized labor has been an essential part of Democrat Sherrod Brown‘s coalition. 20 years later, and following his 2024 loss to Republican Bernie Moreno, Brown is not overlooking the importance of union support in his campaign for a comeback.
