Pratt’s BBQ property listed for sale

KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) — The iconic Pratt’s Barbecue property on East Stone Drive in Kingsport is for sale.

The 0.97-acre property at 1225 East Stone Drive was posted for sale on Tuesday, according to a listing by the Addington Agency .

The asking price is $1.75 million.

The property includes multiple commercial kitchens, offices, multiple walk-in freezers, residential apartments, a three-car garage, a dumbwaiter, and more, according to the listing.

The listing also states that “Pratt’s business operations, its name, and any other intellectual property owned by Pratt’s are expressly excluded from the sale of this property.”

Pratt’s restaurant remains open.

The restaurant’s giant Native American statue, known as “Big John,” has become a local landmark since it was first installed at the restaurant in 1970. The statue was built in 1954.
