    10 fastest-growing cities in Kentucky, according to the University of Louisville

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — The University of Louisville released a map showcasing the fastest-growing cities in Kentucky.

    UofL’s Kentucky State Data Center used U.S. Census Bureau data to rank and compare cities that are growing in population.

    According to the report, Pippa Passes, with 584 people as of 2023, had the most growth, with a 20.2% increase in population. The data center said Elizabethtown was the fastest-growing large city over the past year, with a population increase of 3.4%.

    In a second post on X, the Kentucky State Data Center said 53 cities grew by 3% or more since the 2020 census.

    Richmond has been the fastest-growing large city since 2020.

    • Elkton
    • Richmond
    • West Liberty
    • Cadiz
    • Kuttawa
    • Plum Springs
    • Scottsville
    • Stamping Ground

    The Kentucky State Data Center said Elizabethtown is estimated to have surpassed Nicholasville and Florence and become the Commonwealth’s 7th largest city.
