A New Breakfast Spot in Town -- 'Designed in Tokyo, Made in Princeton'
Princeton, NJ -- I was talking to my actuarial writer friend Peter, whom I speak to on Tuesdays. He lives in California and we’ve been friends since we were 13. Peter isn’t exactly a culinary gourmet, so when I told him I was headed over to review a new Japanese restaurant that serves breakfast his response was “Sushi for breakfast -- yuk!” I must say I too was surprised when I saw J.S. Foodies Tokyo at 14 South Tulane advertising breakfast. I just didn’t equate the two ideas, Japanese food and breakfast. Man was I wrong.CLICK HERE...

Joe DeVito III hopes his film, "The Asbestos City," a documentary about Manville, will eventually have a happy ending. DeVito, a Manville borough councilman and a digital arts teacher at Immaculata High School in Somerville for two decades, says the 85-minute documentary that will be shown three times next week at Reading Cinemas Manville, will bring to a wider audience the story of Manville's struggle to remain a quintessential American town that gets knocked down by man-made or natural calamities, but always manages to get back on its feet.

Angling Artist: Tim Cromarty
Back in March, a gentleman approached the On The Water booth during the Saltwater Fishing Expo in Edison, New Jersey. “Tim Cromarty” he said, gesturing with a handshake. Tim’s business card read, “Found Object Art – Tim Cromarty”, with a toothy fish sculpture on the back that was an amalgamation of rusted rake tines, corroded gears and bolts, and other antique-shop collectibles that would be of questionable value to most. One look and it was clear that Tim Cromarty’s artwork redefines the phrase, “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure”.
