Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are the new villains of the NFL.

With four Super Bowl appearances in the last five seasons and three Super Bowl wins, the Chiefs have distinguished themselves as the best team in the NFL for multiple years. Mahomes has started a new dynasty.

The last team to take on the villain role was the New England Patriots with Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. That dynasty won six championships and were contenders for nearly 20 years.

On Thursday, Mahomes sat down with Logan Paul and iShowSpeed on the most recent episode of the Impaulsive Podcast . During the show, Mahomes revealed the moment he realized the Chiefs were the NFL's new villains.

"This year, definitely, was the more villain-type role for the whole team," Mahomes said. "I didn't know how real it was until I got to Buffalo this year."

Mahomes and the Chiefs played the Buffalo Bills in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs.

"I think I saw 40,000 middle fingers on the way into the stadium," Mahomes continued, "We go out there and win, I'm trying to hand my headband and sleeve off to a kid, and snowballs are just flying at me."

BR Gridiron posted a portion of the quote to social media.

The Chiefs will be looking to win their third Super Bowl in a row this upcoming season. This would only further the motion of being the villains of the NFL.
