The School Buzz: D-49 high school show choir wins state competition
The show choir at Vista Ridge High School is in its 10th year and it's certainly been a monumental year to remember. The "Rhythms" won first place at the Colorado State Show Choir Festival in Fort Collins recently. The choir took home a nearly perfect score following their performance, winning 69 out of 70 possible points. Man charged in crash that killed Wichita woman is extradited from Colorado
WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - A 24-year-old man has been charged in connection to an east Wichita crash that killed an 82-year-old woman. Wichita police said Austin Hedges, of Greeley, Colorado, was charged April 18 with reckless involuntary manslaughter and arrested in his hometown the following day. He was extradited from Colorado and booked into the Sedgwick County Jail on Tuesday.

CommonSpirit removed from Anthem’s network
CommonSpirit Health and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Colorado have negotiated a new contract. On Wednesday, CommonSpirit Health is no longer in network. CommonSpirit Health operates 162 hospitals and more than 2,250 care sites across 24 states. In Longmont this includes Longmont United Hospital and a number of physician offices.
