SSM Health hosting food drive in Janesville

JANESVILLE, Wis. -- SSM Health is hosting a food drive at its Janesville Campus, 3400 E. Racine St., through May 31.

Donations will benefit Salvation Army Food Pantry.

"National Hospital Week is May 12-18 and a great way to say thank you to your health care team is to donate to a cause that helps our community members in need," said SSM Health Community Health Director Megan Trimm.

Community members are encouraged to drop off items in labeled collection bins, barrels at SSM Health.

Bins, barrels are located at

• Employee entrance (near gift shop)
• Main entrance (Town square)
• Hospital chapel (near main entrance)
• Clinic Level 2 (near stairwell)
• Clinic Level G (by the conference room)

SSM Health is asking community members to donate the following:

• Rice
• Beans
• Pastas
• Sauces
• Canned fruits and vegetables
• Peanut butter and Jelly
• Proteins such as tuns cans, packets
• Ready-to-eat soups
• Boxed macaroni and cheese
