    Man arrested after Friday night pursuit in Janesville

    JANESVILLE, Wis. -- Janesville police arrested a man who they said fled on a dirt bike Friday night.

    Janesville police say they attempted to stop the dirt bike at approximately 11 p.m. that was driving without headlights in the road.

    Officers initiated a traffic stop by activating his lights and the dirt bike accelerated while driving recklessly through the community according to police.

    Officers checked the area the dirt bike fled into and the dirt bike continued to flee and drive recklessly away from officers.

    Janesville police located the 20-year-old male and the dirt bike in the 1300 Block of Mineral Point Ave.

    The man was arrested for Fleeing/Eluding officers and a Felony Probation Violation

    He is being held at Rock County Jail pending his initial appearance.

    The man is on probation for robbery with use of force and operating a vehicle without consent as a passenger.
