Indiana Fever Coach Sends Intense Message to Caitlin Clark Before WNBA Debut

Indiana Fever coach Christie Sides is fired up before her team's 2024 WNBA debut.

And she has every right to be. With Caitlin Clark now on Indiana's roster, expectations are sky-high for the Fever to have their best season in years.

Which means that the pressure is on Sides to guarantee that her team performs.

The Fever's first game is taking place on Tuesday afternoon, where they traveled to Connecticut to take on the Sun.

And before the game began, Sides issued an intense message to her team.

"May 14th, game one, is just another opportunity for us to get better," Sides said to her team. "So we see the big picture of how special that we can be.

"Make it count tonight. Make it count tonight," Sides added. "Let's go!"

Then Sides brought her team together for one final pregame embrace before they took to the court.

While Sides is clearly bringing the intensity tonight, hopefully her team can still play relaxed.

Enough pressure is on Clark and her teammates to perform without their head coach's stress adding to that.

We'll see how the Fever respond to Sides against the Sun.
