Central Pennsylvania students receive scholarship from First Commonwealth Bank

INDIANA, Pa. (WTAJ) — First Commonwealth Bank has awarded students in Pennsylvania and Ohio with scholarships including seven in Central PA.

Forty high school seniors will each receive $1,000 scholarships after being selected by a committee from First Commonwealth employees. This year, the bank received a recording breaking 1,485 applications as they were tasked to share an essay that illustrated their commitment to academics and serving their communities.

In our area, students from Bedford, Cambria, Centre and Somerset Counties were selected. Below is their name and school.

• Lando Krouse – Chestnut Ridge HS
• Craig Prescott – Bedford HS
• Abigayle Bartels – Somerset Area HS
• Natalya Cann – Cambria Heights HS
• Alyssa Beers – Bellefonte Area HS
• Azlynn Amanda Heverly – Bald Eagle HS
