Two South Shore high schools have announced the hiring of three new coaches. Hingham announced its new soccer coaches (April Tremante as the new girls coach, David Leahy as the new boys coach). Earlier in the day, Archbishop Williams named Sarah Behn as its next girls basketball coach. All three programs have been among the area's most successful this century.

Scituate High's Lydon O'Brien has been voted the High School Boys Lacrosse Player of the Week. The junior received over 3,000 votes to earn the honor. The goaltender starred as Scituate rallied from a 5-0 halftime deficit to defeat Plymouth South, 8-7. O'Brien finished with 15 saves, 6 of which came in the fourth quarter.
