16-Year-Old Arrested For Shooting NFL Wide Receiver, 9 Others at Nightclub

A 16-year-old suspect has been arrested for the nightclub shooting of NFL wide receiver Tank Dell and nine others, according to Florida Today .

The minor is accused of shooting 10 people at the unincorporated Sanford, Florida, nightclub early Sunday morning.

The 10 victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries, mostly to the lower extremities, according to police.

The shooter was booked into a juvenile detention center.

“The incident began as a verbal altercation that escalated,” Seminole County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Kim Cannaday said in a statement.

The Houston Texans released a statement acknowledging the shooting on Sunday. Dell suffered a "minor wound" and has already been released from the hospital.

"We are in contact with him and his family and will provide more updates when appropriate but we ask that you please respect his privacy at this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved in the incident," the team said.
