No. 2 Running Back In California Announces Commitment To Big Ten Program

Four-star running back Karson Cox announced his commitment to UCLA on Tuesday. The 6-foot, 190-pound running back is from Oak Hills High School in Hesperia, California.

He committed to the Bruins over Arizona State, Oklahoma State, SMU, and Kansas.

Cox is the No. 293 overall prospect and No. 22 running back in the class of 2025. He ranks as the No. 2 running back and No. 27 player in California, according to the On3 industry rankings .

Following Cox's commitment, UCLA's 2025 recruiting class ranks No. 39 nationally and No. 11 in the Big Ten. Cox is the highest-rated commitment in the Bruins' 2025 class.

He was named the unanimous Player of the Year and earned All-Area honors from the Daily Press. Cox finished his junior season with 1,349 rushing yards and 19 rushing touchdowns. He has rushed for over 1,000 yards and 18 touchdowns in back-to-back seasons.
