HPD searching for suspect ‘considered armed, dangerous’ in Waimanalo

HONOLULU (KHON2) — A search for an alleged armed suspect is underway after the Honolulu Police Department said he fired multiple shots at a vehicle in the Windward area.

HPD said the incident took place in Waimanalo when a woman driving a white Jeep said she was being followed by her boyfriend. The suspect then allegedly rammed her vehicle and fired at her car.

The suspect was last seen on Kalanianaole Highway and Manana Street driving a blue sedan which became inoperable.

After the victim drove to Kailua and spoke with police, she was then taken to the hospital in serious condition.

Police said the suspect is considered armed and dangerous and they have opened a first-degree attempted murder investigation.
