Blair County to host spring plant sale

BLAIR COUNTY Pa. (WTAJ) — The Discovery Garden will be hosting a fundraising event which will offer plants, vegetables, flowers and herbs to the community.

The spring plant sale will be held on Saturday, May 18, from 9 a.m. – noon at 1501 N. Juniata Street in Hollidaysburg. Many local businesses, greenhouses and individual gardeners donated plants, vegetables, flowers and herbs for the sale.

There will also be a selection of native plants along with homegrown items. Proceeds from the sale benefit the Discovery Garden and Skills of Central Pa.’s horticultural therapy programs.

Community members can also expect raffles, food and beverages. Some prizes include garden benches and outdoor chairs. The event will take place rain or shine.
