Work to begin Monday on I-80 between Brady and Gothenburg
The Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) has announced that work will start Monday, May 18 on Interstate 80 between Brady and Gothenburg, weather permitting. The work, of which Paulsen Inc. of Cozad is the contractor, is from reference post 205.61 to 213.25. Work will include bridge repairs and asphalt paving.

I-80 eastbound lanes east of Lexington have reopened after crash
LEXINGTON, Neb. (KSNB) - A stretch of Interstate 80 eastbound was blocked Sunday evening east of Lexington due to a crash, according to Nebraska 511. Nebraska 511 reports the closure was on I-80 eastbound between mile markers 249 and 253, about 14 miles east of the Lexington area. Officials said all eastbound lanes were blocked.

Lexington Public Schools dismiss at noon due to outage; no buses, phones down
LEXINGTON, Neb. — Students at Pershing Elementary and LMS were dismissed at noon today because of a power outage that left the schools unable to serve lunch. Parents were told they will need to pick up their children at those two buildings because buses will not run. The district said it was sending the message through SchoolMessenger and SeeSaw.
