    Find out the top 5 most expensive homes on the market today in Henderson County

    According to Steve Dozier of Steve Dozier Group, Allen Tate/Beverly-Hanks, Realtors, one of the highest-priced homes on the market today in Henderson County has dropped in price.

    But you'd still need to reach deep in your pockets for this one. It's a home formerly built for legendary golf architect Tom Fazio and sits on 101 acres overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains. The price is now $7.25 million, a decrease of $300,000.

    Below is a list of the top 10 highest-priced homes on the market today in Henderson County, with this home topping the list.

    "All of these sit on sizeable acres with great long range, year round views," Dozier said.

    1. 3000 Laurel Park Highway, Hendersonville, $7.25 million

    Most recently listed at $7.55 million, this gated estate's price tag has decreased by $300,000. Prior to that it was first listed at $7.75 million. It was originally designed and built for famed golf course architect Tom Fazio. There are four bedrooms and 5 1/2 bathrooms in this 5,712 square foot property. Amenities include walking trails, fishing ponds, a putting green, tennis court, basketball court, picnic area, hot tub and fire pit. The property is being sold by Premier Sotheby's Realty.

    2. 1547 Walnut Cove Road, Hendersonville, $5.99 million

    This is another property that has lowered its price, as it was previously listed for $6.495 million. That's a decrease of $500,000. Just eight months ago, it held the top spot as the most expensive home on the market in Henderson County. It is situated on more than 47 acres with panoramic views of the Blue Ridge mountains. This single-family home built in 2007 that is 6,840 square feet, has three bedrooms, seven bathrooms (five full, two partial) and five fireplaces. It was listed on June 30, 2023, by Allen Tate/Beverly-Hanks Hendersonville.

    3. 1040 James Estate Lane, Hendersonville, $5.65 million

    This property is located on more than 34 acres, and the home is highlighted by a two-story foyer. The home was built in 2015 and has seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms. The kitchen features a breakfast room and a family room. The large terrace has a screened pavilion with a fireplace overlooking the mountains. The upper level offers a primary wing-a retreat complete with a private balcony, office and sitting area. The property also includes a three-car garage with living quarters above, a three-bedroom guest home with a two-car garage and a utility building. It was listed by Premier Sotheby's Realty.

    This eight-bedroom, seven-bathroom ranch-style home is in the Green River Subdivision. It was built in 1956 and sits on 190 acres, offering a secluded paradise, the listing says. There are mountain views and waterfalls and easy access to downtown Hendersonville (12 miles) and Greenville, South Carolina (30 miles). It is being sold by Allen Tate/Beverly-Hanks Hendersonville.
