Helena Belles announce 2024-25 members

HELENA – As the 2023-24 school years comes to a close, the Helena Belles assembled at the Grand Bohemian Hotel in Birmingham to bid farewell to their graduating seniors and welcomed the rising 2024-25 Helena Belles.

Composed of girls between ninth and 12th grade, the Helena Belles are a community service organization that attends various Helena functions throughout the year.

According to the current director of the Helena Belles, Amanda Smitherman, members are selected based on their leadership, academic achievements and involvement in extracurricular activities.

“They embody the spirit of Helena through their dedication to service, academic excellence and commitment to upholding the values of their community,” Smitherman said.

In total, the 2024-25 Helena Belles features 76 young women from around Helena. Of those 76 girls, there are 15 seniors, 28 juniors, 21 sophomores and 12 freshman.
