Pine Grove opens outpatient services building

HATTIESBURG, Miss. ( WHLT ) – Pine Grove Behavioral Health and Addiction Services celebrated the opening of its new outpatient services building.

Forrest County leaders, alongside U.S. Senator Roger Wicker (R-Miss) and his wife, took part in a ribbon cutting ceremony.

The new facility, located on Broadway Drive in Hattiesburg, will provide mental health and addiction services to children, adolescents and adults. Treatments will include medication assistance, substance abuse programs and therapy with licensed mental health physicians.

Wicker helped secure $7.5 million for the project.

“The application for the special funding came from local leadership here, and from local brains, and it was well received in Washington, D.C. This sort of thing is recognized in all 50 states. This facility here is recognized all around the world. And it’s it is a wise, I think, a very conservative use of taxpayer dollars,” said Wicker.
