Identities of woman fatally shot, man injured in Hamlin home released
The Monroe County Sheriff's Office on Monday identified the woman fatally shot and man who was severely injured inside a Hamlin home last week. Deborah C. Poprawski, 71, of Hamlin, was found dead inside a home on the 1300 block of Monroe-Orleans County Line Road on Thursday afternoon, said sheriff's spokesman Deputy Brendan Hurley. Her husband, John H. Poprawski, 72, also of Hamlin, remains in critical condition at a local hospital, he said.
