ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A Rochester man was sentenced to more than 12 years in prison Monday on drug trafficking and weapons charges.

Torrence Dyck, 51, was sentenced to serve 150 months in prison. He was convicted of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute, and to distribute, 500 grams or more of cocaine and possession of firearms and ammunition by a convicted felon.

Prosecutors said Dyck ran a drug house on Warsaw Street in Rochester, recruiting and paying workers to sell cocaine. Investigators said they found just over 1.4 pounds of cocaine, $20,000 in drug money, drug packaging materials, and two guns.

Dyck was prohibited from owning guns due to four prior felony convictions for robbery, criminal negligent homicide, federal narcotics conspiracy, and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
