Woman’s bond set at $250,000 after fetus found on property

UPDATE (11:05 a.m. on Thursday, April 18): A woman facing charges of tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse after a fetus was found on a Hamilton Township property had her bond set at $250,000.

The woman is in Lawrence County Jail on a $250,000 cash/surety bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 25 at 9 a.m.


LAWRENCE COUNTY, OHIO (WOWK) — The discovery of a fetus on a property in Hamilton Township Wednesday, has a woman facing charges.

She is charged with abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence, according to Sheriff Jeff Lawless.

They were taken to the hospital earlier in the day, Lawless said in a press release.

People found the fetus at a home along Township Road 349.

The fetus is being sent to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office for an autopsy.

According to Lawless, she is in the Lawrence County jail.

No other details have been released at this time.
