Softball: Fisher takes WBL Player of the Year honors
Addison Fisher of Wapakoneta is the Western Buckeye League’s Player of the Year, while Brooke Austin of Kenton and Dennis Parrish of Defiance split Coach of the Year honors. Kenton (11-7, 8-1 WBL) and Defiance (14-8, 8-1 WBL) split the conference title this season. This is the second straight year that Defiance has earned at least a share of the conference championship. For Kenton, it’s their first softball title in school history.

AYERSVILLE — Kalida’s girls track and field team had quite a meet at the Ayersville Division III district championships last week. The Ladycats had four district champions and five runner-up showings as they as they advanced to this week's regional meet in 13 events . NWC — The Northwest Conference (NWC) unveiled its 2024 all-conference baseball selections on Monday morning. Lincolnview’s Luke Bollenbacher clinched the title of NWC Player of the Year, while head coach Eric Fishpaw shared the honor of NWC Co-Coach of the Year with Bluffton’s Kasey Krendl.
