Nationwide Foundation commits $100 million to children’s hospital
The Nationwide Foundation in Columbus, Ohio, has announced a 10-year, $100 million commitment to Nationwide Children’s Hospital (NCH). The gift publicly marks the launch of the hospital’s $500 million Empower the Possible campaign and represents the largest-ever corporate foundation commitment to a children’s hospital in the United States. The foundation already has contributed $30 million toward the commitment, which will include annual $10 million gifts, each contingent on approval from the foundation board of trustees. The commitment from the foundation will advance the hospital’s strategic plan, including efforts to advance treatment and discovery through integrated clinical care and research, create a national model for expanding access to behavioral health services, create the healthiest community of children by addressing the social determinants of health, and increase support for Genomics Research and Personalized Medicine.
Showers & cooler temps to start work week in Columbus area
It has been a pretty nice Memorial Day today, with temps back near normal in the mid to upper 70s with a fair amount of clouds. A few isolated showers have been around, mainly to the east, but it was mostly dry today. Tonight, winds will relax a bit before midnight with skies gradually clearing, and lows dropping to the upper 50s to near 60.

Breaking – Water Rescue Dispached for Boy Stuck on Tree in River in Pickaway County
Pickaway County – An emergency water rescue has been reported in the Scioto River around 12 pm on Sunday. According to early reports emergency squads have been called to the area of US-22 and Scioto River just outside of Circleville. A juvenile young teen is reported to be in the middle of the waterway stuck on a tree and cannot get out.
