GRESHAM, Ore. — Two suspects were arrested Thursday evening after robbing a victim at gunpoint at a skate park, the Gresham Police Department says. Officers were sent to the Gresham Skate Park at 49 SE Roberts Ave. shortly before 9:30 p.m. on the report of a robbery at gunpoint. Callers reported three suspects had left the scene, and that the victims had fled into Johnson Creek to escape the robbers.

23-year-old man arrested for May fatal shooting of Gresham resident
A 23-year-old man was arrested Tuesday, July 23, in connection to the shooting death of a Gresham man. Alex M. Brown-Golden was taken into custody by the Portland Police Bureau’s Homicide Unit, with assistance from U.S. Marshals. He is being held at the Multnomah County Detention Center on charges of second-degree murder with a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon. Brown-Golden is accused of killing 34-year-old Ozell Shepherd, of Gresham, during a May 4 incident in the Wilkes Neighborhood. The fatal shooting took place in the 15700 block of Northeast Beech Street, where Shepherd was found dead in the street. The case remains under investigation.
