Drugs seized during traffic stop in Greenville

GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) – A large amount of drugs were seized on Sunday following a traffic stop in Greenville.

According to the Greenville Police Department, an officer conducted a routine traffic stop after noticing evasive behavior from the driver and detected a license plate violation.

During the traffic stop, a significant amount of illegal substances were seized including:

  • 394 pills (controlled substances)
  • 27 grams of marijuana
  • 1 ounce of fentanyl
  • powder amphetamine

In addition to the drugs, $7000 in cash was confiscated.

The suspect is facing charges of:

  • trafficking fentanyl
  • nine counts of possession of a schedule I-V drug
  • possession with intent to distribute a Schedule I-III substance
  • two counts of possession of a drug without prescription
  • simple possession of marijuana
  • driving under suspension- DUI-related
