New study shows increase in rent prices in Greenville

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — Have you noticed an increase in rent prices? Well, you’re not the only one.

Apartment List recently conducted a study on increasing rent prices and lists Greenville as a city where rent has risen more so than the national average. The national average for rent increases in March is +0.6%, whereas Greenville’s rent prices rose by +1.6%.

This is the second straight month where rent has increased. Previously, rent prices declined six months in a row. Compared to last year, rent has increased to +6.7% growth in price. This is compared to the previous year where the percentage was +3.5%.

The average price of rent for Greenville is now $927 for a one-bedroom apartment and $1,193 for a two-bedroom apartment.
