There’s something to entice all ages during this long weekend in Westmoreland County. Here are just a few of the happenings to keep everyone busy:

Art on Tap: National Scavenger Hunt

The Westmoreland Museum of American Art, at 221 N. Main St. in Greensburg, will be full of mysteries Friday night. From 7 to 10 p.m., the museum will host Art on Tap: National Scavenger Hunt.

The event, which is $12 for members and $15 for non-members, will include photo opportunities, live music, a martini bar and a live mystery that will take guests back in time. The event includes one free drink and a cash bar. Registration is encouraged.

To register or find out more, visit thewestmoreland.org.

    Kids’ Fest

Another part of Greensburg Community Days will be Friday’s Kids’ Fest. From 3 to 8 p.m. at Kirk S. Nevin Arena, 520 New Alexandria Road, activities recommended for kids age 12 and younger will take over.

The event is being produced by the Greensburg Recreation Department and will include games, face painting, character visits, food vendors and more.

The event is $5 per child, and activities are included, but concessions will cost extra. More at downtowngreensburgpa.us.

Greensburg Community Days Party in the Park

Greensburg Community Days are May 23-25 this year and will be capped off Saturday by the Greensburg Volunteer Fire Department’s Party in the Park. The event will run throughout the day at Lynch Field, 520 New Alexandria Road.

The party will go from 1 to 10 p.m. Saturday, with food, craft vendors and loads of live music. A car cruise will roll from 1 to 5 p.m. as well. And to end a fun-filled day, fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m.

Greensburg Community Days are a collaboration between the Greensburg Volunteer Fire Department, the City of Greensburg Recreation Center and the Downtown Greensburg Project. Learn more at downtowngreensburgpa.us.

    Summer Concert Series

Sunday will be a great day to enjoy live music. May kicks off free concerts at Twin Lakes Park throughout the summer. The show, starting at 1 p.m., will take place at the Brian T. Rusnock Amphitheater, 1200 Georges Station Road, east of Greensburg.

On the roster for Sunday will be Dave Stout, playing at 1 p.m.; Life of Brian at 3:45 p.m.; and 7 Mile Run Band at 6:30 p.m.

The event is free, but consider bringing some lawn chairs, as seating is limited. Dogs are welcome. There will be beverages for purchase on site, and attendees are invited to participate in the Memorial Day covered-dish picnic.
