Several roads in St. Johns County will be partially closed at various times Nov. 9-13 for continuing construction projects by the Florida Department of Transportation. Here's a look at areas where drivers might experience delays: County Road 16A west of Timberwolf Trail. Daytime lane closures weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and nighttime lane closure 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. for roadwork. King Street from North Ponce de Leon Boulevard (U.S. 1) to Malaga Street. Road closed to traffic through late 2026 for bridge rehabilitation. Follow detour. The former Jacksonville state representative and community organizer who shook up Florida’s political system as the Democratic Party’s U.S. Senate nominee announced Thursday night that she is launching a new political action committee to turn the grassroots energy she galvanized across Florida into lasting political power for working families. “Our mission is simple: to build the political and economic power of everyday hardworking people, so they can determine the future of their communities and shape the economies that sustain them,” she said on a Zoom call Thursday evening as she launched the Never Scared PAC. Nixon, who lost to incumbent Sen.
