On Saturday June 1st, the 20th Illinois Vintage Fest will take place at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Grayslake. This special sale begins at 11am and runs until 6pm. The event features a whopping 180 vendors of clothing, home goods, collectibles and artisan work. It is a great place to find vintage items.

Lincoln Acre site hosts ribbon cutting
On this hallowed ground, once stood a school, The Lincoln School. Lincoln opened its doors in 1949 and closed in 1969. It served hundreds of Lake County children in the 20 years it was in operation. Today, we are happy to announce that Lake County school children will once again be on these hallowed grounds making a difference. Students will be applying what they have learned in the classroom and using their hands-on abilities here at the Acre to prepare them for college and careers. Lake County High School’s Career Academy is in full swing, and we are excited about taking this first step to get our students prepared for their futures. The future looks bright for LC Schools!
