Kronenwetter budget would raise village tax levy 6.8%

Kronenwetter would levy 6.8% more in village property taxes under a proposed 2027 budget up for a vote Monday, with public safety driving more than half the spending growth. The Village Board holds a public hearing on the budget at 6 p.m. Monday at the Kronenwetter Municipal Center, 1582 Kronenwetter Drive, then votes on three budget resolutions. The plan sets a total levy of $2.91 million, up $184,776 from $2.72 million this year.
