PETERSBURG, ND ( KXNET ) — A 47-year-old Grand Forks man was seriously injured Thursday night in a one-vehicle semi crash near Petersburg.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the man was driving a semi towing a trailer heading west on U.S. Highway 2 when he apparently failed to follow a curve in the road. His vehicle entered the highway median and tipped on its side.

The cargo in the trailer moved forward, exiting the trailer and entering the cab of the truck.

The driver was transported to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks with serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
