Kingdom East School District Seeks Sutton and Newark Input on School Changes
As the Kingdom East School District begins developing its next budget, district leaders are reopening a conversation about the future of two of its smaller schools, inviting residents in Sutton and Newark to weigh in on reconfiguring them. The district has scheduled a community meeting at Sutton School on Nov. 12 from 6 to 7:30 p.m., continuing discussions that began last spring and resumed at a public meeting in Newark on Oct. 22. District officials say no decisions have been made on any changes to the schools but instead are trying to provide information to the communities and gather input.
