LEO-CEDARVILLE, Ind. (WFFT) — The Leo softball team claimed the Northeast 8 conference title outright on Monday with a 7-1 victory over DeKalb. Madyn Mohr, Lillian Pierce, Summer McDougall-Gerig and Kristian Bond each had an RBI in the win for the Lions, who claim their second NE8 title in the past three seasons. Mackenzie Arroyo led the way in the circle for the Lions, throwing 6.2 innings, allowing an unearned run on one hit to go along with 15 strikeouts.
