One person has died after a shooting in south Wichita
WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - One person has died after a shooting in the 6000 block of S Walnut. Sedgwick County dispatch said the call came in just before 5:30 p.m. on Friday. When police arrived on scene they found one person who was confirmed dead.
Derby teen gets 27 years for shooting death of Wichita man
WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - A Derby teen has been sentenced to 27.5 years for the shooting death of a 34-year-old Wichita man in 2023. District Judge Jeffery Goering sentenced 18-year-old Philip Walls on Friday to a total of 330 months in prison. In March, Walls pled guilty to 2nd-degree murder, attempted aggravated robbery and aggravated kidnapping.

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - Maira Rangle is a little more cautious these days when she's working at 360 Vape Shop and Tobacco at Central and Maize Road. "The first thing he said as he jumped was, 'don't move. Stay where you are,'" said Rangle. "I freaked out and said, 'What are you doing? What are you doing? This is not ok.'"
Kansas man seriously injured in Butler County motorcycle crash
POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (KFVS) - A man from Kansas is seriously injured after a motorcycle crash in Butler County Saturday evening. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crash Reports, the crash took place around 6:55 p.m. on May 4. The driver was going southbound on Route W, five miles north of Poplar Bluff.
