Shooting on Elmira's East Side
11:45PM UPDATE: Elmira police released information regarding Friday night's shooting. EPD says officers were called to an apartment at 150 Harriet Street for a gunshot victim at approximately 6:10. When officers arrived, they found a male with a gunshot wound to the leg in a stairway outside the apartment. The victim was taken by ambulance to the hospital, and Elmira police say he is stable.

Columbia Cross Roads, Pa. — A man keyed a vehicle after becoming upset over his relationship with a person inside the home, police said. Horseheads Trustee Mark Cronin declines plea deal on DWI and vehicular assault
PENN YAN, N.Y. (WENY) -- Yates County District Attorney Todd Casella announced on Friday, December 8th that the deadline for Horseheads Village Trustee Mark Cronin to accept a plea deal on vehicular assault and DWI charges has come and gone. As a result, Cronin is set to appear before a grand jury on December 28th.

On Friday, Dec. 8, Boyd H. Fenton of Athens, Pa. was arraigned in Tioga County Court on a 105 count Indictment. According to Tioga County, New York’s District Attorney, Kirk Martin, the Indictment alleges that he unlawfully entered a barn at Tioga Downs Casino and Racetrack on Nov. 9, 2023 and started a fire that destroyed a barn, injuring a trainer, and killing 30 horses and one cat.

Crash closes portion of Route 6 in Bradford County
Route 6 is closed in both directions between Route 2010 (Wyalusing-New Albany Road) in Wyalusing and Route 187 in Wysox, due to a vehicle crash, according to PennDOT.
