A man is in custody and facing multiple charges after ramming a Weld County Sheriff's Office patrol vehicle and resisting arrest Wednesday morning. Longmont Feb 21 Weekly Crime Report
During the last week, a total of 7 crime cases were reported in Longmont. The crimes included 2 instances of assault, 2 of other disturbances, 1 arrest, 1 trespass, and 1 robbery. The assault cases occurred on February 15 and 16, with the latter being reported at 12:25 PM. The two disturbances were reported on February 16 at 10:13 AM and 2:51 PM respectively. The lone arrest was made in the early hours of February 18, at 2:42 AM. The trespassing incident was reported on February 16 at 9:24 AM, while the robbery took place on February 15 at 8:18 PM. This data indicates a concerning level of criminal activity in the place, with crimes ranging from disturbances to more serious offenses like assault and robbery. The local authorities in Longmont are urged to take necessary actions to ensure the safety of its residents.

Wildlife nonprofit offers tips if you find injured animal
Greenwood Wildlife Rehabilitation Center workers say the top five reasons animals are admitted are because they are orphaned, attacked, sick, hurt by collisions or trapped. If an animal appears to be orphaned, the rehabilitation center advocates for trying to reunite healthy babies with families over rescuing them. However if an animal is injured, workers do not try to reunite it with its animal family, said Mysti Tatro, the community relations manager for the Greenwood Wildlife Rehabilitation Center.

A portion of Anchor Drive just north of 37th Street and west of 23rd Avenue in Evans will be closed through at least Wednesday due to a water leak. According to the Greeley Tribune, it first happened around 10:30a Tuesday, shutting down the road between Harbor Lane and Cove Way and causing some wash away underneath Anchor Drive. The closure could last beyond Wednesday if the damage turns out to be more extensive than previously thought.

Victim In Single Vehicle Crash Identified As Loveland Resident
The Larimer County Coroner’s Office identified 31-year-old Zoey Panos as the person killed in a single-vehicle crash along North Wilson at the beginning of February. According to the Loveland Reporter Herald, Panos, a Loveland resident, died from multiple blunt force injuries caused by the crash, which happened in the 4600 block of North Wilson Avenue. Police say Panos’ GMC Sierra was traveling southbound on Wilson and crossed over the median into the northbound lanes before hitting a utility pole on the east side of the road.
