Your Delmarva Forecast: Wednesday, September 2, 2026
Good morning, Delmarva! Start your Wednesday with some caution — areas of fog will be hanging around through about 9 a.m., so slow down on those morning commutes and give yourself some extra travel time. Once that fog lifts, we’re looking at a mostly cloudy day with a high near 82°F and a light east breeze around 5 mph. A stray sprinkle is possible, but most of us stay dry. Tonight, the storm chances pick up. Showers and thunderstorms are possible as we head into the overnight hours, with lows around 72°F — still a warm and muggy night. Looking ahead to Thursday, storm chances continue throughout the day and into Thursday night. And heads up — temperatures are surging back into the low 90s, with a high near 93°F. Heat and humidity combined with storm activity will make it feel quite uncomfortable, so stay hydrated and limit time outdoors during peak afternoon hours. Stay weather-aware, Delmarva — and have a great Wednesday!

Thunderstorms were already developing across portions of the region early this morning, somewhat earlier than several high-resolution models had indicated. The main concern with this activity is locally heavy rain, although an isolated severe thunderstorm cannot be ruled out.
