East Texas (KLTV/KTRE) - Good evening, East Texas! Expect partly cloudy skies through the evening, becoming mostly cloudy overnight with temperatures falling into the upper 70s by daybreak. A few showers and isolated thunderstorms will be possible early Monday as a front stalls just to our north near the Red River. This stationary boundary will keep at least slight chances for rain in the forecast through midweek, mainly for areas north of I-20. Chances for rain quickly dwindle by the latter half of the week as we continue to see summer-like heat and humidity each day. Expect high temperatures to climb into the mid to upper 90s each afternoon under partly to mostly sunny skies, along with heat indices near or above triple digits.

City begins clean-up efforts after Marshall flash flooding
MARSHALL, Texas (KLTV) - The City of Marshall is working to clear out debris left behind after Monday’s flooding drained away. It’s a job that is not new to public works. Tree limbs, plastic bottles, Styrofoam cups and just basically garbage are caught all along a Marshall drainage channel. Marshall Director of Public Works Doug Box looked at it this morning.

Heavy rains flood Highways 80, 59 in Marshall
MARSHALL, Texas (KLTV) - Heavy rain left cars submerged at the intersection of Highway 80 and Highway 59 in Marshall. Crews barricaded sections of Highway 59 near the intersection with Highway 80. Marshall Fire Chief David Rainwater said the deepest flood water throughout the city was at that location. Highway 59 was blocked at the time.
