Dangerous thunderstorm warning, tornado watch issued for Baton Rouge. Here’s what to know.
The national weather service has issued a flash flood and severe thunderstorm warning, along with a tornado watch has been for East Baton Rouge and other parishes. Areas of Ascension, West Baton Rouge Parish, Iberville and assumption have also received a warning, with advisement of possible dangerous flying debris and a significant rate of lighting occurring in the area.

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Overnight storms are causing power outages in Baton Rouge and surrounding areas on Friday, May 16. Entergy’s outage map reports over 5,900 customers in East Baton Rouge Parish are without power. Other areas experiencing power outages are; Ascension Parish 800; Iberville Parish 452; Pointe Coupee Parish 816, Livingston 2282 and West Baton Rouge Parish 1,646.
