Chester County under a flash flood warning until Friday night
A flash flood warning was issued by the National Weather Service on Friday at 5:07 p.m. in effect until 9:15 p.m. for Chester County. "At 5:07 p.m., Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly," says the weather service. "Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other drainage and low-lying areas."
