CORAL GABLES, Fla. (WANE) – Former Highlight Zone star Jalen Blackmon is sticking around a little longer in the Sunshine State.

According to multiple reports, Blackmon is transferring to Miami for next season.

The Fort Wayne native and Marion High School grad started his college basketball career at Grand Canyon. After his freshman season, Blackmon transferred to Stetson for his sophomore and junior years.

This past season, Blackmon was Stetson’s leading scorer averaging 21.3 points per game, adding 2.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists per contest. Blackmon drained a career-high 43 points in the ASUN Tournament title game to clinch Stetson’s first NCAA Tournament bid.

Blackmon will use his final year of eligibility heading into the 2024-25 season.
