FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A rough week for the TinCaps continued with a 14-3 loss to Great Lakes in a Saturday matinee.

Fort Wayne is stuck in a 5-game losing streak after entering the 6-game home stand atop the Midwest League’s East Division.

Great Lakes grabbed an early lead thanks to a 3-run bomb by Alex Freeland in the top of the second inning. The TinCaps responded with three runs in the bottom of the frame thanks to a throwing error at first base, a sac fly and a wild pitch.

However, the Loons responded with eight unanswered runs to close the game.

The TinCaps look to avoid a series sweep on Sunday against Great Lakes. First pitch is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. at Parkview Field.
