    300 competing in basketball championships in Fort Wayne

    FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Team USA athletes are among the 300, a handful being Paralympians, competing in basketball national championships at Turnstone this weekend.

    The 2024 Women’s and Military Division Wheelchair Basketball National Championships are underway at Turnstone Plassman Athletic Center from Friday to Sunday.

    Fort Wayne athletes to compete in adaptive national competitions

    It’s the first time the nationals are being held in Indiana.

    Seven of the athletes are also preparing to compete in Paris 2024, including four-time Paralympian Natalie Schneider; three-time Paralympian Rebecca Murray, and 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Bronze medalists Josie Aslakson, Kaitlyn Eaton, Courtney Ryan, Lindsey Zurbrugg and Emily Oberst.
