FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The Komets won’t be going to the playoffs for the first time since 2013, but that didn’t stop fans from coming out in record numbers during the 2023-24 season.

Sunday’s crowd of 10,335 at the Coliseum helped the Komets finish with a total of 293,639 fans this season, breaking the franchise record of 8,090 fans per game during the shortened 2019-20 season. The Komets drew an average of 8,157 fans per game in 2023-24.

The Komets will host their annual jersey auction for charity on Thursday at the Appleseed Room at the Coliseum. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the auction set to begin at 7 p.m.
